DIESEL AND PETROL PRICE QUARTERLY ANALYSIS (1st July - 30th Sep)
Diesel prices were increased by Rs.5.44 or 9.99 percentage and Petrol prices were raised by Rs.7.48 or 11.2 percentage during the third quarter (1st July, 2017 to 30th Sep, 2017). Diesel and petrol prices were up by Rs.2.04 with 3.75 % and Rs.1.95 or 3.03 % respectively during the month of July. In the month of August, Diesel and petrol were boosted up by Rs.1.59 with 2.83 % and Rs.4.02 or 5.99%. September month inflated the Diesel prices by Rs.1.81 or 3.4% and Rs.1.51 or 2.17 percentage respectively.
The average price in global market for Indian crude basket was shooted up by Rs.690.78 with 21.15 percentage increase at an average of 64.28 INR/$ during the 3rd quarter period between 1st July, 2017 to 30th Sep, 2017. Brent crude prices have moved up by 9.43 percentage during the 3rd quarter. An Increase of 4.54 % , 5.16% during July and September months was observed while August month witnessed a fall of 0.27 percentage.
